After I did one final cleaning and packing up all my staging items, I went back into the house to take one last look around and to lock up. I remembered the feeling of the first time I walked into the house on the day I bought it. I remembered my excitement of being a first time homeowner. I remembered my first leaky pipe, first time mowing the lawn and the first time buying furniture for my new house. I remembered Dave and I falling back in love in that house.
For some reason, Dave only remembers the bad things about the house. He's more of a "glass half empty" kind of guy. His memories of it, well...he could care less. I guess that's the difference between boys and girls, right?
Anyway, I was all prepared to post about saying goodbye to it. I'm thankful I didn't get around to posting it because the entire deal fell apart yesterday. Yup, completely fell apart. The house is back on the market. I cannot believe I wasted 6 weeks with the current buyer only to have her flake. I am so annoyed by it, it makes me physically ill.
Anyone want to buy a house in Denver?
UGH! As if you really need to be dealing with THAT right now. So sorry! I hope you find a new buyer PRONTO! Maybe it will work out better in the end???
ReplyDeleteOH, so sorry Tanya! Hang in there! There's gotta be a reason.
ReplyDeleteUgh we went through that same roller coaster when we sold Zach's condo after we got married. I think the closing fell through like 8 times. It went under contract in January and finally closed toward the end of May. I totally know how you are feeling. It's a cute place - somebody will come along soon!
