Happy Birthday Month!

Growing up birthdays were a huge deal. We celebrated the entire month. My mom would kick off our birthday month with a special dessert or present on the first day of the month. The celebration continued with days dedicated to fun, presents and lots of love each week. The birthday month ended with a bang on the last day of the month.

It was a fun way to grow up and get older. Even as an adult, I still celebrate my birthday month. I think my husband starts to cringe mid-December because he knows the next month I won't stop talking about my birthday.

April 1st was a special day in our house. It was the start of Daniel's birthday month!

We have been practicing saying "I'm two!" and practicing blowing out candles.

    Very cool Tanya.. I've been following your blog for a while now. We are in the process of adopting from ESWS also. (we probably won't travel till 2013 though:(
    Any news on adoption #2??? I thought I read you were possibly considering that? Anyhow.. hope you are well and your son is a cutie.:

    I LOVE the idea of celebrating your birthday month. That's such a neat idea. Happy birthday to your little guy I hope he enjoys this month with all the special memories you'll be creating.

    Oh and what a CUTIE PIE!!! Makes me miss my kiddies being little.

    I'd love #2 and a little brother for Daniel. However, I don't think it's the right time for us just yet. Maybe soon... :)
