Turns out there were FOUR Eastern families with children being escorted on the flight. Once I got the airport and saw all these families waiting for their children, I was so overwhelmed to be able to be a part of this wonderful celebration.
There were a few other aadoptive moms and their kids from CO there to be part of the celebration as well as the four waiting families and their friends. The group was probably about 40-50 people total, plus three people from the local agency.
There were four escorts, one for each child. Two of the escorts were the ACTUAL FOSTER MOMS! How cool is that! The foster moms flew to the states to bring the children home. It was so moving to see the FM's hand over the children to the forever families.
The escorts (the other two were on staff with Eastern) were all going to the Korea Camp in Frasier, CO. I think it's the KAAN heritage camp.
All in all, it was such a wonderful experience. As an adoptive mom waiting for her little boy to come home, it was amazing to see the circle completed. Our kids do come home, it may take a while, but they will be here soon enough.
R-if there are any photos I posted that I should not have, let me know! Thanks for letting me celebrate with you!
What a special moment you got to be a part of with these families! We are looking forward to your moment with you...come home soon Daniel!
